As we all take stock of the havoc wreaked by weeks of rain and high wind and finally storms Ciara and Dennis it is hoped that, weather permitting, the green will reopen with a friendly round-robin pairs competition at 1.00 pm on Sunday 5th April. All are welcome. The club is always looking for new members whether they are experienced bowlers or complete novices. Any beginners will be paired with an experienced bowler so that they can be given a few pointers and have the rules explained and everyone has a chance of winning. After that, club night is from about 6.00 pm on a Monday evening, when anyone can come along for a game or to give bowls a try. The club has a number of sets of bowls that beginners can use if they want to give it a go before joining the club. Members can use the green at any time.
There will be league matches on the green in Caerwys most Wednesday evenings throughout the summer from 6.30 pm (6.00 pm in April and August) and Thursday afternoons from 2.00 pm; so even if you don’t want to play, do come along to support the teams. The first evening match will be on Wednesday 8th April
We look forward to meeting you all on 5th March. For further information please contact the Secretary, Steve Chambers on 01352 720314 or Chairman Geraint Roberts on 01352 720739
