Evensong is a sung church service which goes right back to the monastic tradition. It combines the services of Vespers and Compline which were sung every afternoon and evening. When Evensong is sung by a large, talented choir it can be an inspiring and moving experience.
This will be a rare chance to share that experience on the afternoon of Sunday, 25th March at 5.30 pm in St Michael’s Church, Caerwys when the renowned choir Laudes will sing Evensong.
Laudes is a mixed choir of 30 singers drawn from the very best choirs in North Wales and North West England. They sing in cathedrals and large churches, and it is rare for them to come to a small rural parish church such as St Michael’s. Join us for the service if you can. RW
